Hold on to your hats! A huge peace summit is coming to Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday, October 13, 2025. U.S. President Donald Trump and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will chair this grand gathering, which includes leaders from more than twenty countries. The goal? To end the tough war in the Gaza Strip and create new waves of peace and security in the Middle East. The Egyptian presidency announced this star-studded meet on Saturday, saying it will be held in the afternoon. The summit's main mission is "to end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and usher in a new era of regional security and stability." Not just Trump and al-Sisi, but several big names will join in. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is confirmed to attend. So are Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, Spain’s Pedro Sanchez, and French President Emmanuel Macron. This is a true global effort to bring calm and order to a very tense region. But here’s a twist – there’s no news yet on whether Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will show up. Meanwhile, Hamas has openly decided to sit this one out. Hossam Badran, a Hamas political bureau member, told AFP in a fresh interview, "We will not be involved." He also said Hamas usually works through Qatari and Egyptian mediators in past Gaza talks. With so many leaders coming together, Sharm el-Sheikh is about to become the hotspot of peace hope. Will this summit finally end the conflict in Gaza and unlock a peaceful Middle East? Only time will tell. But one thing is sure — the world will be watching this power-packed meet with bated breath!
