Get ready for a mystery straight out of a thriller! The police in east Delhi’s Ghazipur area stumbled upon a gruesome sight—a decomposed body wrapped tightly in brown tape and sealed inside a plastic bag. This chilling discovery was made near the dry corner of Hindon canal, opposite Mulla Colony, on Saturday evening. According to a police officer, "A team from Ghazipur Police Station immediately reached the spot and found a plastic bag tightly sealed with brown tape. On opening it, a decomposed human body was discovered." The smell and sight confirmed the body had been there for several days and was badly decomposed, making identification a tough task. The police wasted no time and cordoned off the area. Crime and forensic teams swung into action to collect evidence, hoping to crack this mystery wide open. The body has been sent to the mortuary where experts will perform a post-mortem to reveal the exact cause of death. As the officer stated, "The exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report." Preliminary investigations hint that this might be no simple accident—the body was likely killed elsewhere and dumped near the canal to hide the crime. Police have launched a full-scale hunt to identify the deceased. They are digging through nearby police stations' missing persons' records and scouring CCTV footage from the surrounding areas. "Teams have been formed to scan CCTV cameras and gather local intelligence. The nearby areas are being searched for clues," the officer added. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing. With every clue, the police edge closer to unmasking this dark mystery. Will this gruesome puzzle find its answer soon? Stay tuned!
