He completed his official drone pilot training at Garuda Aerospace’s DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organization in Chennai. Agnishwar Jayaprakash, the sharp Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, shared a fun story: “We were casually chatting one day when I mentioned that we had trained a large number of drone pilots. Dhoni immediately said, ‘wish I could be a drone pilot too’. This conversation took place about a year and a half ago, and although his schedule was packed, he finally made it happen last week.” Talk about focus and determination! Mr. Jayaprakash added, “He picked it up very quickly and was extremely focused on learning. His unwavering belief in our mission to revolutionise the drone industry is a massive source of encouragement for the entire team.” Garuda Aerospace is no small player here—they have trained over 2,500 aspiring drone pilots with their team of expert Master Instructors. Their training program mixes theory classes with hands-on flying sessions, using both simulators and actual drones. This blend ensures pilots are ready to fly safely and smartly in this fast-growing drone industry. Plus, Garuda Aerospace holds an impressive six DGCA approvals and is proud as the first Indian drone startup with dual DGCA certifications for both manufacturing and training.
