SBI Goes All Out for Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 with Beach Cleaning and Tree Planting in Mumbai

October 5, 2025

The State Bank of India (SBI) shook up Mumbai with its vibrant Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, running from September 17 to October 2, 2025! As part of this national cleanliness drive, SBI’s Mumbai metro circle offices and branches rolled up their sleeves for a series of eye-catching eco-activities. One of the star events was the beach cleaning at the famous Girgaum Chowpatty on September 25. Around 150 enthusiastic SBI staff, led by Manju Sharma, Chief General Manager of Mumbai Metro Circle, dived into action. They cleaned 49 designated cleanliness target units across Mumbai’s metro circle, wiping out garbage and making the spots sparkle with hygiene. But that’s not all! SBI's Regional Business Office spearheaded a massive tree plantation drive at Mangaon village, where a whopping 2,488 saplings found a new home. What a green gift to Mother Earth! SBI didn’t stop at cleaning and planting. They also hosted a ‘Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir’ at their Local Head Office in Bandra Kurla Complex. Here, 38 hardworking sanitation workers got free health check-ups, showing SBI’s deep care for those who keep our environment clean. Manju Sharma said, “We believe that true progress goes hand-in-hand with cleanliness, sustainability, and care for our communities. Through our participation in Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, we aim to inspire collective responsibility and contribute meaningfully to the vision of a cleaner and greener India.” The grand campaign wrapped up beautifully on Gandhi Jayanti, leaving a fresh, inspiring mark on Mumbai’s environment. SBI’s actions remind us all that a cleaner India is a happier India!
