September 30, 2025

Brace yourselves, Bihar! Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has just waved the green flag for not one, not two, but SEVEN new trains straight from Patna. Among these valuable treasures are three shiny Amrit Bharat Express trains — the favorites among middle-class and common travellers nationwide. Why all the excitement? Because Bihar now boasts 15 Amrit Bharat Express trains in total! Out of these, a whopping 13 trains run right from Bihar. The government calls this a “major gift from the Centre to the people of Bihar.” Sounds like a railway party to us! Let’s zoom into these three new Amrit Bharat Express routes: 1. Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli (near Hyderabad): This weekly express chugs through key stations like Hajipur, Patliputra, Ara, and Prayagraj Chheoki before reaching its southern destination. 2. Darbhanga to Madar Junction (near Ajmer): Another weekly run, this train sweeps across Kamtaul, Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, and Jaipur, weaving a broad match of connectivity. 3. Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi): Running twice a week, it zooms via Siwan, Gorakhpur, Basti, Lucknow, and Kanpur, linking Bihar directly to the capital’s heart. But that’s not all! Along with these glamorous Amrit Bharat Express trains, seven more trains were flagged off. These include four passenger trains, mostly DEMU and fast passenger trains, servicing local stops like Nawada, Islampur, Buxar, Patna, and Jhajha, operating six days a week. With these new routes, travelling for Biharis just got easier and faster. Whether commuting for work or visiting family, the convenience is now deep rooted on the tracks. As the tracks buzz with fresh energy, one thing is sure—the new trains will bring many smiles, jugalbandi of cultures, and endless journeys across India. Ready to hop on?
