Meta is turning up the heat on its AI chatbot game! After snapping up top AI talent, the social media giant is now hiring US-based experts to build AI chatbots that truly speak the local language and culture. The focus? Big markets like India, Indonesia, and Mexico. According to Business Insider, Meta is ready to pay up to $55 an hour for people fluent in Hindi, Indonesian, Spanish, and Portuguese. But this isn’t just about language skills. Meta wants storytellers with at least six years of experience creating characters and a good grip on prompt engineering and AI content systems. These contractors will work closely with Meta’s regional teams to breathe life into chatbot personalities, giving each one a unique flair that fits the culture perfectly. The company is recruiting through agencies like Crystal Equation and Aquent Talent. Why this move now? Meta's AI chatbot journey began with flashy celebrity bots like those of Kendall Jenner and Snoop Dogg in 2023. That fun ride was short-lived. Now, in 2024, Meta offers AI Studio, a toolkit where users themselves can create bots. AI Studio is already live in the U.S. and Indonesia, hosting hundreds of user-made chatbot characters. But Meta knows creating local bots isn’t a DIY job alone. The latest hiring shows they want top pros to craft smarter, culturally rich chatbots especially for hot markets like India. As competition in AI heats up, Meta’s move could make its chatbots much more relatable—and a lot more masaledar!
