The buzz is building as the vice-presidential election is just one day away! Two important players, BJD and BRS, are playing a careful game. According to insiders, "their respective top leadership will take a call on the poll," but right now, "abstaining from voting would be a more appropriate option." They have jumped onto the NDA bandwagon, declaring full support to the NDA’s candidate, CP Radhakrishnan. Party MP Ayodhya Rami Reddy told The Economic Times, confirming this unexpected move. As the numbers stand, CP Radhakrishnan is comfortably ahead with the backing of 439 MPs. On the other side, the INDIA bloc’s candidate, former Supreme Court judge B Sudarshan Reddy, has 324 MPs behind him. The race seems intense but the lead is significant.
