DOJ Fires Elizabeth Baxter for Flipping Off National Guard in DC: Pam Bondi Draws the Line

August 31, 2025

Drama at the Department of Justice! Elizabeth Baxter, a paralegal working in the Environmental Defense section, was shown the exit door for a bold and vulgar act. On August 18, as she headed to work in the DOJ's 4CON building in Washington DC, Baxter raised her middle finger at National Guard members deployed in the city. Security cameras caught her red-handed around 12:18 pm, with Baxter shouting “F–k you!” to the guards. Not just a one-time offense, Baxter boasted to a DOJ security guard the very same day, saying, “F–k the National Guard.” A week later, she returned to work and again expressed hatred towards the Guard with the words, “F–k off!” US Attorney General Pam Bondi fired Baxter for this “inappropriate conduct towards National Guard service members.” Bondi told The Post, “If you oppose our mission and disrespect law enforcement — you will NO LONGER work at DOJ.” In her termination letter, Bondi made it crystal clear: Baxter’s actions were against the laws and Constitution, and her federal employment ended immediately. This fiery firing follows a similar case. Sean Charles Dunn, another DOJ paralegal in the same building, was sacked after throwing a salami sandwich at federal officers and yelling abuse during the August 10 incidents in Washington’s U Street nightlife area. Dunn shouted, “F—k you! You f—king fascists! Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city!” Prosecutors initially went for felony assault but later downgraded it to misdemeanor assault, which carries up to a year in jail. DOJ spokesperson Chad Gilmartin confirmed the story on social media, while Gates McGarvick added, “Very simple: if you don’t support law enforcement, @AGPamBondi’s DOJ might not be a good fit.” Pam Bondi stands firm, cleaning house at the DOJ amid President Trump's mission to restore order and safety in Washington DC. Respect law enforcement or pack your bags—Bondi’s message couldn’t be clearer!
