Bahrain successfully tested its Emergency Alert System across the country on Saturday night. At 9:30 pm, all mobile phones and smart devices in Bahrain received alerts. The Ministry of Interior ran the test to make sure the system can send emergency messages quickly and reliably in real situations. Officials said, “The exercise was aimed at confirming the system’s readiness and ensuring emergency notifications can be delivered effectively.” The ministry had announced this trial beforehand to assess how fast and well alerts reach people on different networks and devices. They also urged iOS users to update their phones to version 26.2 or later. This update is important to get alerts on time. Android users need not update, as their devices already support the system. The successful test is part of Bahrain’s ongoing work to improve emergency response and keep citizens safe by sending vital info instantly when needed.
