Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced longer Dubai Metro hours on Sunday, February 1. The metro will run from 5am until midnight to support the Dubai Marathon 2026. This extension will help runners and spectators move smoothly around the city during the event. Dubai Marathon 2026 celebrates its 25th anniversary on February 1. Runners will race on a fast, flat course, finishing inside the Dubai Police Academy. This finish offers an exciting end for both athletes and fans. Race start times have changed this year for better flow and conditions. Elite runners will start at 5:45am. The general marathon group begins at 6:30am, which is 30 minutes earlier than last year. The event features several race categories: the full marathon of 42.2 km, a half-marathon of 21.1 km, a 10 km race, and a 4 km fun run for families and beginners. The RTA said, "the extended metro hours are intended to ensure smooth and efficient travel for everyone involved," showing Dubai’s commitment to strong public transport support for major sports events.
