On Saturday, Sri Sathya Sai district police carried out a big cordon and search in Ravulacheruvu village, Dharmavaram mandal. Nearly 120 officers, led by SP S. Satish Kumar, took part. They checked homes door-to-door looking for habitual criminals and former factionists, especially those involved in murder or faction fights. The SP personally warned former factionists to behave well or face strict legal actions like adding rowdy sheets or property attachment. Police seized 40 two-wheelers without valid number plates or registration papers. These vehicles are now kept at police stations for verification, and cases will be filed under Section 102 of the CrPC against offenders. Later, SP Satish Kumar spoke at a gram sabha asking villagers not to take law into their hands. He urged peaceful dispute resolution, without politics or caste fights. He warned that crime could harm offenders’ children’s futures, including police clearances and no-objection certificates. The operation used modern tools such as drones, body cameras, mobile scanners, and fingerprint scanners. The SP said, "Similar cordon and search drives would continue across the district to curb crime and maintain public order."
