Two security personnel injured in IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur

Two security personnel were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, a senior police officer said. The injured are now out of danger and stable. Earlier that day, a joint team of District Reserve Guards, Special Task Force, and CoBra, a special unit of the Central Reserve Police Force, conducted an operation in the Pillur-Kandlaparti area. "During the operation, two Cobra personnel sustained minor injuries in an IED blast. Both injured personnel have been sent to Raipur for better treatment. Currently, both soldiers are out of danger, and their condition is stable," the police officer added. The incident highlights the risks faced by security forces during anti-insurgency operations in the region.
