40th Asian Waterbird Census to Count Endangered Birds in Coringa Sanctuary on Jan 10-11, 2026

The 40th Asian Waterbird Census will happen in Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary and nearby wetlands on January 10-11, 2026. It will count endangered migratory birds like the Indian Skimmer and Great Knot. The Andhra Pradesh Forest Department teams with BNHS, WII, and WWF to conduct the 10th census here.
