GURUGRAM: Tesla, the US electric vehicle giant, is bringing a spark to India’s roads! On Wednesday, Tesla revealed that running costs for their cars will be among the lowest in the country. Why? Because their high-tech vehicles hardly need service for four years! Thanks to clever over-the-air (OTA) updates and remote care, owners won’t have to rush to service stations. Sharad Agarwal, Tesla India head, said the company is confident about growing in India after starting sales this July with the imported Model Y. Tesla has opened its first 'all-in-one Tesla Experience Centre' in Gurugram. This cool new spot is not just for sales but also handles after-sales service, deliveries, and supercharging all under one roof. Earlier, Tesla had two experience centres in Mumbai and Delhi. What’s more exciting? Tesla is preparing to open a new supercharging station in Gurugram and plans two more in Mumbai. Though Tesla didn’t specify new cities for stores, they might head to south and west India soon. Instead of using third-party dealers, Tesla will expand by owning and running its own retail units, carefully and step-by-step. The biggest highlight? Tesla’s low running cost. It’s not just the electric power savings, but also that customers get no fixed service schedules. Tesla advises owners to skip service visits for “years,” unless there's a serious problem or damage. Thanks to tech magic, Tesla cars update themselves over the air, much like your smartphone does, upgrading software without any fuss. Plus, remote diagnostics mean even less worry about visiting a service centre. Tesla’s cutting-edge approach could change how Indians see car ownership—less hassle, big savings, and top technology. Keep your eyes on the streets; Tesla’s electric wave is coming fast and furious!
