Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan brightened the literary scene on Monday by launching the autobiography of CPI(M) Central Committee member E.P. Jayarajan. The book, named Ithaanu Ente Jeevitham (This is My Life), is published by Mathrubhumi Books and promises to be a colorful journey into the life of a communist leader. At the event, Mr. Vijayan gave a copy of the book to the famous writer T. Padmanabhan, adding charm to the occasion. Mr. Vijayan spoke warmly about the book’s importance. He said, "Jayarajan’s autobiography holds significance as a factual account of a communist’s life, reflecting not just his personal journey but also the story of the movement and the times." This shows the book is not only personal but also a glimpse into the changing political waves. The Chief Minister praised Jayarajan for standing firm despite internal party disagreements. "Jayarajan took the right stand when there were differences over policies within the party," he said. This highlights Jayarajan’s strong belief and courage during testing times. Recalling his own experiences with the leader, Mr. Vijayan revealed that Jayarajan bravely faced many false and misleading campaigns. He said Jayarajan had to "endure several baseless allegations," proving his strength and resilience. The book release was a star-studded affair with many senior CPI(M) leaders and Left Democratic Front (LDF) ministers attending. This event marks an important moment to celebrate a political figure whose life story tells much about Kerala’s communist movement and its challenges.
