On Saturday, magic filled the air near the famous India Gate in New Delhi. Volunteers gathered to light hundreds of oil lamps that lined the pathway leading up to this iconic memorial. These flickering flames created a warm and inviting glow, a perfect way to welcome the much-loved festival of lights, Diwali. This beautiful sight brings joy to everyone who spots it, reminding us all of the bright spirit of Diwali. The effort was captured on video by AP reporters Shonal Ganguly, Piyush Nagpal, Channi Anand, and Rajanish Kakade. As the lamps lit up the night sky, the atmosphere was alive with hope, happiness, and festive cheer. Diwali, known for its dazzling lights, got a wonderful start at India Gate thanks to the dedication of these volunteers. It's a shining example of how small flames can light up huge hearts and places.
