Gujarat witnessed a colorful political drama on Friday as 26 ministers took oath in a grand ceremony at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar. The spotlight shone brightly on new Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi and the popular Rivaba Jadeja, who joined the revamped cabinet in a move that has caught everyone’s attention. The ceremony was graced by Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and none other than BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda. This reshuffle is the first big change since Bhupendra Patel began his second term as Chief Minister. Alongside Harsh Sanghvi and Rivaba Jadeja, other big names stepped up to the ministerial stage. Adding to the political spice, newly appointed state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma is expected to give up his ministerial spot to focus on party duties. All these moves come with an eye on the future – the panchayat elections early next year and the big assembly polls in 2027.
