The Los Angeles Lakers finally put a thrilling end to their preseason woes by grabbing their first win! After tough games against the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors, the Lakers flipped the script, beating the Warriors in their third preseason match. The crowd cheered especially for Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and Dalton Knecht, who all rocked the court. A special shout-out to Bronny James, whose slick dribbling and spectacular dunks stole the show!
Lakers Light Up the Court with Austin Reaves’ Magic!
Austin Reaves was the shining star tonight. The Lakers jumped ahead early with a 6-point lead in the first quarter and didn’t look back. Reaves kept the fire burning into the second quarter, helping the team to finish the first half with a spectacular 17-point lead. Although the Warriors roared back in the third quarter with a 12-point lead, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Lakers’ earlier advantage. By the end of the game, the Lakers held strong and won with a final score of 126-116.
Reaves was unstoppable, scoring 21 points, along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Close behind him, Rui Hachimura and Dalton Knecht pumped in 16 points each, shrugging off the Warriors’ pressure. And Bronny James? He dazzled fans with his last-minute dunk skills that added extra shine to the Lakers’ lead.
On the other side, the Warriors’ bright spot was Brandin Podziemski, who scored 23 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and made 8 assists. Trayce Jackson-Davis and Jonathan Kuminga also powered the Warriors with 14 and 13 points respectively.
What’s Next for the Lakers and Warriors?
The Lakers plan to keep this winning streak rolling! They got revenge against the Warriors and now aim to even out their fight with the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers and Suns will face off again on October 14 at the PHX Arena. Remember, the Suns crushed the Lakers by 22 points on October 3 in the preseason opener.
Meanwhile, the Warriors feel the pressure after their first preseason loss but they’re ready to bounce back. They will play the Portland Trail Blazers on October 14 at Moda Center. This will be the Blazers’ third preseason game and a big chance to even their score with the Warriors, who defeated them earlier this preseason.
Stay tuned for more exciting NBA action as these teams bring their A-game to the court!
