Alec Baldwin's Wild Hamptons Crash: Garbage Truck Cuts Off, Hits Tree!

October 14, 2025

Hold on to your seats, Hamptons! On Monday, October 13, Hollywood’s own Alec Baldwin faced a dramatic on-road adventure — but this time, it wasn’t a movie scene. Driving his wife Hilaria Baldwin's pristine white Range Rover on Montauk Highway, Alec's ride met a "big, fat tree" after a massive garbage truck, which he described as "the size of a whale," cut him off without mercy. Baldwin wasn’t alone. His younger brother Stephen Baldwin joined him in the car. But don’t worry, both actors escaped the crash totally unharmed! Alec shared the wild story in an Instagram video, saying, "To avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big, fat tree and crushed my car – my wife's car. I crushed my wife's car. I feel bad about that. But it's all fine, I'm fine, and my brother's fine." Photos snapped by The Post showed a National Waste Services garbage truck still parked at the crash site — making the "whale-like" truck story believable and vivid! But Alec didn’t just talk crash. He mixed in some smiles with serious thanks. He praised the East Hampton Police Department, especially singling out "Officer Gerken" for being "As nice as can be, as pleasant as can be about the whole thing." That’s real calm in a crazy situation! And to his wife Hilaria, he sent a sweet message: "Hilaria, I love you more than anything. I'm very proud of you." That wasn’t all! Alec took fans back to the lively Hamptons International Film Festival weekend he’d just enjoyed. Then, he gave a sneak peek about his next stop — visiting family on the West Coast. "I'm going to LA to see my family, can't wait. I'm going out to California to gather my family, to spend a few days there and then I'm home," he said. He wrapped up with a classic Alec sign-off, joking about his own "crazy" ways while making a funny circular motion by his head. So, yes, the car is banged up, but Alec and Stephen are totally fine. And with Alec’s sense of humor, it’s clear this story isn’t ending with just a scraped car but plenty of smiles and family love!
