SHIMLA: Drama unfolds in Himachal Pradesh as Ram Kumar Bindal, elder brother of BJP's state chief Rajiv Bindal and an Ayurvedic medicine practitioner, is arrested for a serious crime. Police say he is accused of raping a 25-year-old woman who came to him for treatment near the old bus stand on October 7. The woman complained that while she was seeking help for her health issues, Ram Kumar promised she would be "100% cured." However, things took a dark turn as he examined her private parts without permission and allegedly raped her under the cover of medical treatment. The brave survivor managed to fight back and run away, filing her complaint the very next day. The police acted fast, registering a case of rape and sexual assault by a person in authority. Gaurav Singh, Superintendent of Police, confirmed that forensic samples were collected by the Forensic Science Laboratory to help the investigation. On the other side, BJP's media cell convener Karan Nanda defended Ram Kumar Bindal, saying he had a "good public image" and actively worked to support Sanatan Dharma. The party strongly claimed that this case is nothing but a "politically motivated mischievous act," aiming to tarnish their reputation. This shocking incident has stirred intense emotions in the state, raising tough questions about trust, politics, and safety.
