US President Donald Trump stirred the peace pot again! On October 9, 2025, at the White House, Trump proudly said he ended the military conflict between India and Pakistan in May this year. These two nuclear powers had a four-day fight, but Trump said he stopped it using "trade" and "tariffs." He warned, "If you guys are going to fight, I'm putting 100% tariffs on each of you. And they immediately stopped fighting. And that was going to go nuclear." India, however, has repeatedly rejected this claim. While speaking alongside Finland’s President Alexander Stubb, Trump kept his fingers crossed about winning the Nobel Peace Prize. When asked about his chances, Trump said he “doesn’t know” what will happen but boasted, “I solved seven wars and now it's eight.” According to him, none in history has solved eight wars in just nine months. "I didn't do it for that. I did it because I saved a lot of lives," he said passionately. Trump also spoke about the cruel Russia-Ukraine war, calling it "the worst since World War 2." Though disappointed he hasn’t stopped it yet, he remains hopeful. “I made seven deals. This would be number eight. The one I thought that I was going to make... It's a horrible war. I think we'll do that, too,” he said. He highlighted the grim toll, "Seven thousand people are dying a week. Young soldiers... It’s a terrible thing." On the Middle East front, the President promised a bright moment. He said the Israeli hostages kept by Hamas in Gaza for over two years will be returning “Monday or Tuesday,” and that he might be there to see it. “I think it’s going to be great... Everybody I see is celebrating in Israel, but they're celebrating in many other countries too,” Trump said. So many peace puzzles, so many stories! Whether Trump’s peace deals will earn him the Nobel Peace Prize or change the world's fate remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear — he’s making headlines with bold claims and big hopes.
