Bigg Boss Kannada’s 12th season has come to a sudden and jaw-dropping stop! The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) swooped in with an official order and locked the iconic Bigg Boss house at Jollywood Studio, Bidadi. Why? Because the studio was caught bending environmental and land-use rules badly! During a surprise inspection, officials from KSPCB and local authorities discovered the studio was running big-time filming and entertainment work without any official permissions or clearances. The big bad news? Vels Studios and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., who manage the Bigg Boss set, got slapped with a closure notice citing serious legal violations under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The official order boldly said, “The said premises are being operated without valid Consent for Establishment and Consent for Operation under the Water and Air Acts.” That means the show was breaking key environmental laws that protect water and air quality. Following the notice, officials didn’t waste any time sealing off the Bigg Boss house. The shooting and live production stopped immediately. Contestants were ordered to get out pronto, creating a unique and dramatic pause in the show’s history. Why this crackdown? Authorities have been tightening their grip on studios running wild in Bengaluru’s outskirts, especially around Bidadi. The Bigg Boss production apparently kept going, ignoring the need for proper environmental and operational permissions. Environmental activists have also raised their voices, demanding stricter checks and calling out the production team for flouting rules. Colors Kannada and Bigg Boss production have yet to release an official statement. But insiders say talks are in progress with the authorities to clear these hurdles and bring the show back on track.
