In the early hours of Saturday, a terrible shooting near the Houston suburb of Angleton, Texas, shattered peace and brought deep sadness. According to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, two young children, aged 13 and 4, were found fatally shot. The horror didn't end there — two other children, aged 8 and 9, were rushed by medical helicopter to a hospital and remain in critical condition. The sheriff's office quickly responded to the scene after reports of gunfire and detained everyone believed to be involved. They assured the public that "There is no ongoing threat to the community." The sheriff's office somberly stated, "While details are still developing, the loss of two children in such a manner is a tragedy. Angleton, a small city with about 19,500 people and the seat of Brazoria County, lies roughly 72 kilometers south of Houston, inside the sprawling Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metro area.
