Guwahati: A big drama unfolds over the mysterious death of beloved singer Zubeen Garg! Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma dropped a bombshell on Saturday, saying the Assam Police simply cannot fly to Singapore to investigate what really happened. Zubeen Garg, a cultural icon, died under strange circumstances on September 19 while swimming at sea during a trip in Singapore. The singer was there for the 4th North East India Festival, organized by Shyamkanu Mahanta and his team. But as the mystery deepens, CM Sarma made it very clear: “Assam Police cannot go to Singapore, so it cannot take up the investigation there. They are in Singapore, so it is not under my jurisdiction. Unless they come there, nobody will be able to join the dots.” What does "join the dots" mean here? It means that without the people from Assam who were with Zubeen on the yacht in Singapore, the police won’t be able to piece together the truth. The CM stressed, "Our entire concern now is whether the people living in Singapore will come or not. If they do not come, we will not be able to complete the inquiry. They were the main people behind the yacht trip.” The Assam CID is on the case and has already sent notices to some Assam Association members in Singapore, asking them to come forward by October 6. But the key to unlocking this puzzle lies with these individuals showing up. “their parents stay in Assam. So, we, the people of Assam, must put pressure on the parents to ask their wards to come here for the probe,” Sarma appealed passionately to the public.
