Apple TV has just released a colorful and thrilling trailer for 'Mr. Scorsese,' a five-part documentary series that dives deep into the life, career, and creative passions of the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Directed by Rebecca Miller, this series promises an exciting peek behind the scenes of one of cinema's greatest icons! The world premiere will light up the New York Film Festival this Saturday, right before the show streams on Apple TV starting October 17. What makes 'Mr. Scorsese' extra special? It mixes never-before-seen old footage with cozy, heart-to-heart interviews featuring Scorsese himself and some of his closest collaborators over the years. Big names like Robert De Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Leonardo DiCaprio join the storytelling, alongside stars and friends like Steven Spielberg, Sharon Stone, Jodie Foster, Mick Jagger, Robbie Robertson, Thelma Schoonmaker, Cate Blanchett, Paul Schrader, Margot Robbie, Jay Cocks, and Rodrigo Prieto. Even Scorsese’s family, including his wife Helen Morris and children, share touching memories. In the trailer, Scorsese speaks about his movies with deep thought on big questions about good and evil. “I struggle with that all the time,” he says, showing the heartfelt side of his storytelling. The series traces his epic film journey from his first film, 'Who’s That Knocking at My Door' (1967), through classics like 'Mean Streets,' 'Taxi Driver,' 'Raging Bull,' 'Goodfellas,' 'The Departed,' 'The Wolf of Wall Street' all the way to 2023’s Oscar hopeful 'Killers of the Flower Moon.' "I knew I could express myself with pictures," Scorsese says, "But I had to find my own way." Produced by Expanded Media and Round Films along with LBI Entertainment and Moxie Pictures, 'Mr. Scorsese' has a powerful team of executive producers including Miller, Damon Cardasis, Cindy Tolan, Rick Yorn, Christopher Donnelly, and Julie Yorn. And there’s more excitement ahead! Right now, Scorsese is working on his next film, 'What Happens at Night,' a ghost story starring none other than Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.
