Charlie Kirk’s Fiery Letter to Netanyahu: ‘Israel Is Losing the Info War Among Gen Z!’

September 30, 2025

The late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, shot dead while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10, showed deep love and concern for Israel just months before his death. In a heartfelt letter dated May 2 to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Kirk shared urgent advice to fight the rising anti-Israel wave among young Americans, especially Gen Z. Kirk, known for founding Turning Point USA and his strong right-wing views, warned that anti-Israel feelings were growing fast on college campuses and social media platforms. He told Netanyahu, “My team and I have spent months analysing these trends and debating ideas that could help you and your country pushback against these disturbing developments.” He added, “Anti-Israel sentiment can undermine American support for Israel.” A proud Christian defending Israel, Kirk wanted to build strong ties between Jews and Christians to protect the Judeo-Christian civilization. He was frank about Israel’s struggle to tell its story properly: “In my opinion, Israel is losing the information war and needs a 'communications intervention.'” In his letter, Kirk shared shocking examples of what he heard on campuses during his visits: claims like “Israel is an apartheid state” or accusations that “Israel and Jews are responsible for 9/11.” He warned, “My experience on college campuses matches a recent Harvard Harris poll which reported 48% of 18-24 year old Americans support Hamas over Israel.” Even young people from MAGA circles were showing less support for Israel. To fight back, Kirk suggested bold moves like sending some of the recently freed hostages from Gaza on a US speaking tour. He said this would be “very effective messaging.” He urged Israel’s spokespersons to highlight that “it’s Hamas committing genocide on their own people by using civilians as human shields and storing weapons in schools, hospitals etc.,” pointing out this story rarely reaches social media channels. Another exciting idea was a massive social media campaign called “Dude, you got us wrong!” Kirk wanted videos of everyday Israelis — Jews, Arabs, Druze, orthodox, and secular — sharing what they love about their country and clearing up misinformation. “Interview Israelis from all walks of life,” he wrote. “Ask them to respond to examples of misinformation on social media.” After Kirk’s death, Netanyahu acknowledged the letter in a September 18 video. He firmly denied any false claims linking Israel to Kirk’s killing, calling such stories “monstrous.” Charlie Kirk’s letter is a passionate plea to keep Israel’s story alive and shining brightly among future American generations. His call for better communication and outreach feels more urgent than ever.
