The Tamil Nadu government is all set to spice up the biotech scene with a brand-new, dazzling Biotech Industrial Park in Chengalpattu, just 60 km from Chennai. The state’s own Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, known as TIDCO, has thrown out a Request for Proposal (RFP) to find a smart consultant who will prepare the Master Plan and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this ambitious project. Tamil Nadu is already a hotbed for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare firms, backed by top-notch colleges and skilled workers. Now, TIDCO wants to take it to the next level! They plan to create an integrated hub full of advanced manufacturing magic, contract development & manufacturing (CDMO/CMO) facilities, and fruitful research partnerships. This park will focus on many exciting sectors like pharma-biotech, vaccines, biologics, biosimilars, industrial biotech, agricultural biotech, marine biotech, and other life sciences-related fields.
