Yara India & Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University Team Up for Exciting Farmer Awareness Drive

September 12, 2025

In an exciting new move, Yara India, a part of Yara International, has signed a powerful MoU with Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. This vibrant partnership aims to kick off a fantastic farmer awareness programme focused on balanced fertiliser use, crop nutrition, soil health, and eco-friendly farming. Starting September 2025 and going on till August 2026, this 12-month adventure will air 180 lively episodes, each lasting 30 minutes, on the University Community Radio 90.4 FM, known as Agra Ki Awaz. The listeners will get to hear scientific talks, lively interviews, panel discussions, and inspiring stories from successful farmers in clear, easy-to-understand Hindi. Why does this matter? Sanjiv Kanwar, Managing Director of Yara South Asia, explains, “Beyond delivering quality products, we are investing in empowering farmers with critical knowledge through this awareness programme. This initiative will directly contribute to enhanced productivity, improved livelihoods, and the long-term well-being of the farming community.” Adding to this, Ashu Rani, Vice-Chancellor of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, shares, “This collaboration will allow us to reach a wider audience of farmers and provide them with the knowledge they need to optimise their agricultural practices and improve their livelihoods.” But wait, there’s more! Apart from the radio sessions, the partnership plans to conduct at least 10 outreach programmes for face-to-face interaction with farmers. This means farmers get hands-on learning and direct advice. This lively, learner-friendly programme promises to pack a punch in farmer education, enhancing their skills and helping them farm smarter and greener. The countdown has begun for September 2025—time to tune in and turn your farming future brighter!
