Chennai is buzzing as the Asia Cup approaches, and cricket fans are all eyes on Team India! Ravi Shastri, who once led India as coach, is excited about the mix of wrist-spinners in the side. "I would love to have two wrist-spinners of that quality," says Shastri. He feels Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav can spin magic together in the XI. Kuldeep, at his peak after a strong IPL, will be a vital cog along with Varun and Axar Patel. As Surya Kumar Yadav steps into the captain’s shoes, Shastri talks about the pressure and praises SKY’s leadership. "Not really. When you go in with such a strong side, you feel great as a captain," he shares. Surya’s been leading well and has built confidence. What about the star bowlers? Jasprit Bumrah stands out as "extra special and the best across formats," but even he can get hit on any day. Shastri warns that other teams play spin well, so Indian spinners will face a true test. The absence of Ravindra Jadeja from T20s means India might lean on seven batters for bowling depth. But Shastri is not worried. "You have all-rounders like Axar and Hardik," he says. Shivam Dube also adds firepower, so the 'Impact Sub' rule isn’t a concern. Young stars like Shubman Gill are turning heads too. "Gill has all the shots in the book," Shastri remarks. After his England tour, Gill is ready to be India’s new pillar. However, pitches in Dubai might be slower, so even skilled batsmen will adjust. Are these the most daring Indian T20 players ever? Shastri thinks so. ‘‘With IPL experience, confidence, and youth on their side, they are real entertainers and the team to beat!" Get ready for nonstop cricket action! Live Asia Cup coverage starts on Sept 9 at 7:00 PM on Sony Sports Ten 1 & 5. This India squad is set to dazzle, spin, and win with style!
