UP Cabinet Decides Big Boost for Outsourced Staff: Rs 16,000 to Rs 20,000 Monthly Pay and Reservations!

September 3, 2025

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has rolled out a colorful new plan to cheer up thousands of outsourced employees working in various government departments and institutions. On Tuesday, they approved a monthly honorarium ranging from Rs 16,000 to Rs 20,000! This is a big jump that promises more respect and better support for these key workers. The state’s Finance Minister, Suresh Kumar Khanna, spilled the beans during a press meet after the Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, gave a green signal to the proposal. Khanna said the government wants to improve the *service conditions* of outsourced staff and even extend *reservations* for SC/ST, OBC, ex-servicemen, freedom fighter dependents, persons with disabilities, and women in outsourcing appointments. Sounds spicy, right? Here are some tasty details: These outsourced employees are hired through the Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Service Corporation, a special non-profit company made under the Companies Act. Every month, these staffers will work 26 days and get their payment between the 1st and 5th of the month. Plus, they’ll have a steady appointment period of three years! Here’s a heartfelt relief too – if an employee sadly passes away while serving, their family will get Rs 15,000 for funeral expenses. Khanna also revealed an important fix: "Until now, the amount paid as honorarium or salary was deposited in the account of the service provider, leading to complaints that employees were not receiving their full wages." Now, the government promises this will be fair and transparent so workers get what they truly deserve. “"The government aims to ensure that outsourced employees receive respectable salaries, better service conditions, and the benefit of reservations,"” Khanna declared, wrapping up this spicy development that will surely bring a big smile on many faces across Uttar Pradesh.
