Ayodhya and Lucknow mourn as a respected figure from the Ram temple saga, Mishra, passes away at the age of 71. Family revealed that his health took a turn for the worse after a leg surgery. His death has left many hearts heavy, including that of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On X, the CM expressed his grief: "The demise of Ram temple trust member and head of Raj Sadan in Ayodhya is extremely sad. I pray to Lord Ram to give place to the departed soul in his lotus feet & give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense sorrow." Mishra played a very important role in the historic Ram temple journey. After the Supreme Court’s final verdict on the Ayodhya dispute, he was named the ‘receiver’ of the temple. This was a crucial role that earlier belonged to the Ayodhya commissioner. It shows the trust and respect he earned in this sacred mission. But Mishra’s story is not just about temples. He also tried his luck in politics! In 2009, he ran for the parliamentary seat from the Faizabad (now Ayodhya) Lok Sabha constituency as a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate, though he didn’t win. Adding to his dedication, Mishra generously donated his own land to help build the grand Ram temple and the road corridors that changed the city’s look. His contributions were not just words but also action, shaping Ayodhya's future. Mishra’s passing is the end of an era for those connected to the Ram temple movement and Ayodhya’s development. His legacy will continue to inspire many who walk the path of faith and service.
