Hundreds of youths gathered at Dharna Chowk on Lower Tank Bund Road, Hyderabad, on Wednesday to demand job notifications and a clear job calendar from the Telangana government. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., about 200 to 300 TGPSC exam aspirants sat peacefully on the road, holding placards with slogans like “No job calendar, 2 lakh jobs at once” and “Youth anger, danger to the government.” The protest, held with police permission, saw roughly 100 to 150 police officials ensuring safety and smooth traffic. Water bottles were stacked nearby as the students raised slogans intermittently. One aspirant, speaking anonymously, said, “We have been preparing for years without knowing when notifications will come. A proper job calendar will at least give us clarity and help us plan our future.” Police confirmed that no disturbances occurred and protesters dispersed peacefully at 2 p.m. Traffic in the area remained largely unaffected during the dharna.
