The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) announced it will auction properties belonging to around 7,000 owners across five corporations on February 17. These owners failed to pay long-pending property tax dues totaling over ₹437 crore. Demand notices were sent to defaulters, but many did not pay. Attachment orders were also issued as part of the recovery effort. When owners still did not comply, the GBA decided to auction the properties as a final step. The auctions will take place at the offices of the Joint Commissioners of the five corporations. The full list of properties and related notices are available on the official GBA website. Property owners have been given a last chance to avoid auction by paying their outstanding dues immediately via the online portal.
