Police found two adults and two children dead at a home in Mosman Park, Perth, early Friday morning. At 8:15 am, emergency services responded to a distressed call from a family friend at a house on Mott Close. The victims include a 50-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman, and two children aged 14 and 16. Detectives said all were part of the same family unit. Three pets were also found dead. Detective Inspector Jessica Securo said there was no sign of violence or weapons. "The family have no reported family violence matters with police," she stated. She added both children had "significant health challenges" and were previously involved with care services. A note left at the scene led police to suspect a murder-suicide. St John Ambulance sent five crews just before 8:30 am to treat the case on priority 1, meaning it was potentially life-threatening. Securo called the scene “confronting” and “highly distressing.” She said police officers were in shock, and health and welfare support was offered immediately. The house is in an upscale cul-de-sac area, with nearby streets blocked off for the investigation. National family violence and crisis support numbers were shared for those in need.
