A British Airways Airbus A350-1000 lost a right rear wheel shortly after taking off from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The wheel detached and fell onto the airfield. British Airways said, "safety and security underpins everything we do and we're supporting the authorities with their investigations." The airport confirmed the incident and said the plane landed safely without further problems. The removed tyre was collected, and there were no injuries or damage reported. The National Safety Board has been informed.
