Farmer Injured in Sloth Bear Attack in Chikkamagaluru's Tarikere

On January 29, a 67-year-old farmer named Ramakrishna was attacked by a sloth bear in A. Ramanahalli, located in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district. The wild animal caused serious injuries to his legs and shoulder. Despite the attack, Ramakrishna managed to defend himself and broke free from the bear’s grip. He ran to the nearby village seeking help. Villagers immediately took him to a hospital in Tarikere where doctors gave him first aid. After that, he was referred to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga for further treatment.
