Wings India 2026 to Kick Off in Hyderabad with Flights, Talks, and Tech

Wings India 2026, Asia’s largest civil aviation expo, opens on January 28 at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad. Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu will inaugurate the four-day event. The theme: “Indian Aviation: Paving the Future – From Design to Deployment, Manufacturing to Maintenance, Inclusivity to Innovation and Safety to Sustainability.”
The first two days focus on business and policy discussions. Topics include airports, airlines, women in aviation, aircraft leasing, and financing. There will be panels on helicopters, a global CEOs’ forum, and a ministerial plenary. The event will also present the Wings India 2026 Awards.
A highlight is the static display of 34 aircraft and helicopters. Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation will showcase the Ilyushin IL-114-300 and Superjet 100 — both appearing outside Russia for the first time. Air India will display its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Air India Express the Boeing 737 MAX, and Akasa Air the Boeing 737-8 MAX. Airbus and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will also exhibit key aircraft.
Alongside business, Wings India 2026 hosts an Aviation Job Fair linking industry leaders with young talent. It also runs a Civil Aviation Innovation Challenge for students focusing on aerospace and future tech.
Exciting aerobatic shows will thrill viewers on January 28 and 29. The Indian Air Force’s Suryakiran Aerobatic Team performs between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day. The UK’s Mark Jefferies Aerobatic Team will put on three shows on January 28, from noon to 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This grand event showcases how India’s aviation sector drives economic growth, regional connectivity, and global ties.
