Police arrested a real estate developer linked to the death of a 27-year-old software engineer in Noida. On January 20, 2026, authorities took Abhay Kumar from MZ Wiztown Planners into custody. The victim, Yuvraj Mehta, died early on January 17 when his car skidded in dense fog and fell into a deep, waterlogged pit at a construction site in Sector 150, Noida. The pit was dug for the basement of a commercial complex near a drain. Mehta's father, Raj Kumar Mehta, filed a complaint accusing local authorities and developers of negligence.
