Saanvi Yaragoppa and Zaina Shaikh from Hubballi have reached the top 100 students in the Veer Gatha 5.0 competition at the national level. Around 1.92 crore students from across India participated. The contest was held by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education. Zaina Shaikh, a Class 10 student from Dr. G.V. Joshi Rotary English Medium School, was chosen for her short video on freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu Pamai from Nagaland. Saanvi Yaragoppa, a Class 7 student from V.S. Pillay English Medium School, earned her place for her outstanding painting that captured the spirit of India's heroes. Both girls will be honoured in New Delhi by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at a Republic Day event.
