The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Animini Ravi Naidu launched the Sports Calendar on Monday at Sri Srinivasa Sports Complex, Tirupati district. He announced that SAAP will organise sports events across the state as per the new calendar. On National Youth Day, Mr. Ravi Naidu paid tribute to youth icon Swami Vivekananda. He said, "There was a need to further strengthen sports development in the State by drawing inspiration from his ideals and vision for youth." The Chairman assured, "The State government would always stand by players for their development and welfare." The Sports Calendar lists various competitions, including Civil Services and Group exams, Amaravati League matches, Khelo India events, and other sports activities. Its purpose is to give athletes clear information in advance about competitions, training camps, and development programs each month. This will help players plan training in a scientific and systematic way. Mr. Ravi Naidu said, "The initiative would help athletes move forward with greater commitment towards achieving their goals." He added that the Innovation would provide clear direction to the state's sports sector, focusing on players. Sports awareness programs will take place in every district to identify talented sportspersons and secure their future. The months of July and August have been declared as sports months to promote activities further.
