The Thirumalai Mission Trust and Vedavalli Vidyalaya School held a walkathon and marathon in Ranipet on Sunday. Deepa Ramasamy, Head of Psychiatry at Christian Medical College Hospital in Ranipet, flagged off the event from the school campus. The goal was to spread awareness about stopping harmful substances. Over 1,300 participants took part in the six-kilometre event. The Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Gunasekaran, gave medals and prizes to the winners. Bhooma Parthasarathy, director of Thirumalai Mission Trust; Vidya Sampath, school correspondent; and Banu, the senior principal, attended the event, according to the press release.
