The three-day Avakai–Amaravati Festival of Cinema, Culture and Literature ended on Saturday, January 10, in Vijayawada with great success. Held at Punnami Ghat and Bhavani Island, the festival attracted more than 5,000 visitors over the first two days and over 7,000 on the last day. The final day saw the Chowraasta band perform live, followed by a tribute show titled ‘Natasaarvabhowma NTR’ honoring legendary actor N. T. Rama Rao. The celebrations closed with a concert by famous singer Javed Ali and a musical called Love Story that combined popular Telugu songs with modern dance. Minister for Tourism, Youth and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh said, "The Avakai festival would serve as a model for several upcoming major events." He also announced the next Avakai–Amaravati Festival will take place from December 17 to 19, 2026. The festival is expected to inspire events like the Flamingo Festival at Sullurpeta, Gandikota Utsavalu from January 11 to 13, and Visakha Utsavalu from January 23 to 31. Important guests included Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Nukasani Balaji, Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheshwara Rao, and Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad.
