Mysuru Courts to Hold 90-Day Mediation Drive from Jan 2, 2026 to Clear Pending Cases
December 21, 2025
All taluk courts and the district court in Mysuru will start a 90-day campaign from January 2, 2026, aimed at settling pending cases through mediation. This decision comes as per the directions from the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru. The Mysuru District Legal Services Authority called this national campaign a “golden opportunity” for speedy relief in court cases. The campaign will provide guidance to both parties to help them reach mutual agreements in several types of cases. These include compoundable criminal cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, bank recovery cases, labour disputes, wage claims of industrial workers, land acquisition cases, cheque dishonour cases, compoundable civil cases, and matrimonial/family court cases, except for divorce cases. Settlements will only happen if both sides agree to the mediator’s suggestions. This approach aims to preserve relationships and resolve disputes in a friendly way. The campaign offers a chance for quick case resolution at minimal cost, according to the Mysuru District Legal Services Authority. For more details, people can call the toll-free number 15100 for Mysuru city cases or contact their local taluk legal services committees for taluk-level cases.
