SP Orders Counselling for Offenders to Prevent Crimes Against Women in Sri Sathya Sai District
December 21, 2025
Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar on Sunday, December 21, 2025, ordered district-wide counselling for known offenders and rowdy-sheeters in Sri Sathya Sai district. Police officials summoned habitual offenders across all subdivisions and counselled them to change their behaviour and avoid crime. This move is part of a focused strategy to prevent sexual harassment, rape, kidnapping, murder, and other serious crimes involving women and minor girls. The SP highlighted special attention to stopping stalking and harassment of girls going to schools and colleges, as well as indecent behaviour towards women in public. He warned, "Such acts would not be tolerated and would invite stringent legal action, including opening of rowdy sheets and continuous surveillance of offenders’ movements." Satish Kumar emphasized the need for behavioural change, saying counselling is a chance for offenders to correct themselves and become responsible citizens. He cautioned that those who do not reform will face strict law enforcement, urging, "Offenders must abandon criminal conduct and maintain good behaviour."
