Indian Navy Commissions Indigenous Diving Support Craft A20 at Kochi

On December 16, 2025, the Indian Navy commissioned the diving support craft A20 at Naval Base, Kochi. This modern catamaran-hull ship features advanced diving systems and state-of-the-art underwater video monitoring, recording, and tracking. Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Naval Command, led the commissioning ceremony. DSC A20 enhances underwater preparedness with better endurance and maneuverability. It will act as a key force multiplier in India's maritime security. This is the 11th ship commissioned by the Indian Navy this year, reflecting significant progress in indigenous shipbuilding.
