2,448 BLOs Score 100% in Voter Roll Digitisation for Special Revision
November 27, 2025
A dazzling achievement lights up the election scene! Out of 68,467 Booth Level Officers (BLOs), 2,448 have reached the perfect score – 100% in distributing, collecting, and digitising enumeration forms in their polling areas. This feat occurred during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, announced Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik on Wednesday.
To celebrate this hard work, district election officers honored these outstanding BLOs. CEO Archana Patnaik said, “This recognition underscores the crucial role played by BLOs in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll, and highlights their significant contribution to the electoral process.”
BLOs are the frontline warriors appointed by the Election Commission. They are the direct link between election authorities and voters inside each polling station area. Their job is tough and important!
“They work in coordination with the BLO Supervisors, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and Electoral Registration Officers to ensure that all activities are completed within the stipulated timelines,” Archana Patnaik explained.
So, while millions await to vote, these BLOs quietly work behind the scenes to make sure every voter’s name is correct and election rolls are perfect. Hats off to their dedication, making democracy stronger and smoother!
