The buzz is on in Telangana as the state rolls out the first phase of the Gram Panchayat Elections for 2025! The Returning Officer has officially issued the notice for the elections to 4,236 Sarpanch and a whopping 37,440 Ward Member posts. The Telangana State Election Commission announced on Thursday, November 27, 2025, that the voters’ list will be put up on boards at Gram Panchayat offices. Nominations for this first round can be filed starting Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the last date is November 29 by 5 p.m., says the election schedule released earlier on November 25. The excitement will build when the list of contesting candidates is made public on December 3, 2025. Hold on tight — the polls for Gram Panchayats will happen in three thrilling phases! The curtain-raiser vote is set for December 11, followed by more action on December 14 and 17 for the second and third rounds. Remember, Telangana has 12,278 village panchayats and a massive 1.12 lakh wards in total. Poll fever is already heating up across various districts. Gram Panchayats have been split into clusters to make nomination filing smooth and organized. For example, in the Sangareddy district, officials have announced the nomination venues and made full arrangements. Adding to the hustle, a Media Centre was launched in Vikarabad district by Collector Prateek Jain and General Observer Shaik Yasmeen Basha on the same Thursday. To ensure things run perfectly, Nirmal District Observer Ayesha Masrat Khanam, along with District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav, checked out the nomination centre at Vadyal Gram Panchayat Centre in Laxmanchand Mandal.
