Drama in Thyssenkrupp's steel division! Dennis Grimm, the leader of Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe (TKSE), is stepping down, insiders revealed on Tuesday. This comes at a super important time since talks are heating up with India's Jindal Steel International, which wants to buy TKSE. Grimm took charge on August 30, 2024, as the spokesman and the de facto CEO after the former boss, Bernhard Osburg, quit following a fight about the company's strategy. Now, Grimm's exit leaves the steel business without a head just when the Indian buyer’s team is ready to dig deep into the numbers this week. German newspaper Bild, quoting sources, said Grimm left after clashing with Thyssenkrupp CEO Miguel Lopez over how the business should move forward. Both TKSE and Thyssenkrupp are keeping quiet and haven’t shared any comments on these changes. Stay tuned as this steel saga unfolds with big deals and big decisions on the horizon!
