SHIMLA: With a strong voice and proud heart, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi declared that the Indian armed forces fought a clean and righteous war during Operation Sindoor. Speaking on Saturday at the big 100-year celebration of Rashtriya Military School (RMS), Chail, nestled in Himachal's scenic Solan, he said the army showed true 'dharma yuddh' spirit — meaning they attacked strictly terrorist hideouts and carefully avoided shooting near civilians or regular army bases. The Army Chief didn't hold back in his praise for RMS Chail, calling it a treasure box of Indian defense heroes. This school, the oldest among the five RMS schools run by the Ministry of Defence, has shaped legends like Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Gurbachan Singh Salaria and five Mahavir Chakra winners. Plus, many top generals and senior government officials come from its halls. General Dwivedi urged the young cadets to follow in these brave footsteps with passion and a deep sense of duty. His words were a clear message not only to the future of the Indian Army but also to the nation: India fights wars with honor and will never hesitate to protect its soil and people, as he hinted at the possible Operation Sindoor 2.0. In a world where conflict can get messy, the Indian Army's commitment to 'dharma yuddh' shines bright. As General Dwivedi said, the military targets only the bad guys, respecting innocent lives and keeping the war clean. With heroes like those from RMS leading the way, India's defense future looks strong and upright.
