Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi gave an exciting update on Friday! After deep talks with India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Muttaqi announced that Kabul will soon send its diplomats to India. This is a big step in the puzzle of improving the relationship between the two neighbors. So far, the Afghan officials working at the missions in India were mostly picked by the old Ashraf Ghani government. But now, with the Taliban in control, new diplomats will be arriving from Kabul itself. This move shows a clear intention from the Afghan side to build closer, step-by-step relations with India. Muttaqi didn't stop there. He gave a strong assurance to New Delhi saying, "Afghan soil will not be allowed to carry out any activities that could be detrimental to its interests." This promise is important, as India has always been concerned about security and peace in the region. Even though India has not officially recognized the Taliban government yet, it continues to push for a government in Kabul that includes everyone - a truly inclusive government. These fresh talks could be the beginning of smoother ties and better cooperation between India and Afghanistan. With this sizzling diplomatic move, all eyes will be on how both sides take this relationship forward. Could this be the start of a new chapter? Only time will tell!
